Search covers the downloaded official schedule. Expand a heading to see every row, including unnumbered groups, 8-digit tariff lines, and 10-digit statistical suffixes. Blank statistical-line rates inherit their nearest ancestor's rate; the app identifies that source.
General, Special, and Column 2 rates are shown as published. Special rates require eligibility. Origin is recorded in the estimate; it does not automatically apply preference programs, sanctions, Chapter 99 duties, quotas, antidumping, or countervailing duties. Enter and verify all applicable additions.
USITC Harmonized Tariff Schedule ↗U.S. HTS codes are research references only outside the United States. The first six HS digits are generally shared internationally; national subdivisions and duties differ. Confirm the destination's national tariff code and enter its rates. Automatic worldwide rates and complete destination-country subclass catalogs require an additional data source.
India worksheet: assessable value = goods + freight + insurance; basic duty = assessable value × base rate; SWS = basic duty × SWS rate; IGST = (assessable value + basic duty + additional ad valorem duties + SWS) × IGST rate. Other fees are added separately. Exemptions, cess, specific duties, official currency valuation, and other valuation adjustments require separate review.
ICEGATE duty enquiry ↗Other destination worksheets use a simplified CIF + ad valorem duty + import tax calculation. Their valuation and tax-base rules need confirmation before use.
The entry date is a planning field. Rates are from the displayed snapshot, not a historical or future rate engine. Only “Free” and simple percentage U.S. base rates can fill the calculator. Specific, compound, quota, and conditional rates are displayed verbatim and require a broker-calculated ad valorem equivalent before calculation.
U.S. worksheets use goods value as a simplified customs value, excluding separately identified international freight and insurance. User-entered fees may include MPF, HMF, brokerage, and other charges. The app does not calculate these automatically. A zero base rate does not mean zero total duty.
